Sweet Summer Pet Photography bio picture
  • Hi World!

My name is Cori. I am a wife, a mom, and a lover of animals.

It was on my heart to start a business to benefit animals for a long time, but I couldn't put my finger on exactly what to do. Since I love taking pictures, especially of our pets, the idea for pet photography developed pretty naturally. I decided I could take pictures and use a portion of the proceeds to benefit different non-profits dedicated to helping animals, but it wasn't until February 16th, 2012 that I decided it was really time to get this thing going.

On that day, my husband and I lost a dear family member, our dog Summer. She was such a sweet blessing to us in the time we had her. She was a loyal companion who filled our lives with joy and love. In the time after she passed away, it became clear to me that pictures are the most precious reminder we have of her. All of this spurred me on to start Sweet Summer Pet Photography!

My goal is to capture those special moments of you and/or your sweet companion in your natural setting doing what you both do best, whether its playing at the beach or just lounging on the couch. Those are the moments that you will remember for a life time, the ones that fill your life with laughter, love and joy.

Ellie Jane and the Pups

When Rick and I found out I was pregnant, we got right to work on training our doggies. We have heard so many stories of families having to give up their dogs for one reason or another, and we did not want that to happen to us. Our dogs are our family and can’t imagine having to give them up! We prayed that our dogs would be great with Ellie and that Ellie would love our dogs. God answered our prayer, and our dogs LOVE Ellie Jane and as you can see from these pics, Ellie Jane LOVES the doggies:)She can’t get enough of them and watches their every move and giggles anytime they look in her direction. Enjoy these shots I captured of the pure joy from our baby!

Big Dog Ranch Rescue – Adoptable Pups

This Sunday I had the opportunity to take some pictures of some amazing pups in need of homes. I was blown away by them! Every single dog was not only beautiful, but super sweet and so much fun to hang out with. Since I am prone to bringing animals home with me, Rick had to remind me that we already have 2 dogs, a cat, and a baby:)It was still hard not to fall in love with these guys though, so take a look! If you are interested in adopting any of the amazing dogs below, for more information. You can’t go wrong:)

Paw Prints at PGA Commons

On Saturday, PGA Commons had an awesome event where pet lovers from all over the palm beach area gathered. There were pet rescues, an obedience school, groomers, and so much more. It was so much fun to meet new pups and their owners and see tails wagging:)Here are just a few of the highlights from the day. The pups below are from the Obedience Training Club of PBC, , , and .

Le Posh Pup’s 2nd Annual Easter Parade!

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to attend Le Posh Pup’s Easter Parade.  I got to take pictures of doggies and their humans with the Easter Bunny and it was so much fun.  I got some really great shots of ADORABLE pups, and I am excited to show them to the world:)

Fenway’s Photoshoot

What better subject than our very own Fenway.  In 2011, I got an email from my dad that his friend had a dog they could no longer keep.  This family loved this dog so much that it broke their hearts for her to be in a shelter, and they were looking for a loving foster home.  I agreed to take her in, only secretly knowing we would probably end up keeping her.  She is now a permanent fixture in our home and brings lots of love, laughs, and joy to our lives.
